Art & Tea Party Celebrating a Decade in 2026!
Art & Tea Party is a long-term creative project exploring art as a social, emotional, and cultural bridge.
Founded by Anna in 2016 in San Diego, California, the project emerged from a need to create a safe and intimate space for Russian-speaking immigrants to meet, connect, and express themselves through art. In 2020, during the pandemic, the project relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is now based in the suburbs of Columbia, Maryland. Over time, Art & Tea Party has evolved at the intersection of community practice and artistic discipline.
The project exists simultaneously as a social artwork and a pedagogical structure — a living, evolving form shaped by migration, adaptation, care, and the quiet power of creating art together.
Each event lasts about 2–3 hours and is designed for small groups, so Anna can guide everyone individually in a calm and supportive atmosphere.
During the session, she leads you step by step through the painting process — no experience is needed. By the end, everyone creates their own artwork and takes it home.
All materials are provided, along with tea and light refreshments, so you can simply arrive and immerse yourself in the experience.
